Chukwuebuka won with a Personal Best (PB) throw of 21.20 meters.

Miracle Thompson has set new records in the 60-meter hurdles and 60 meters dash events at the 2023 Washburn University Rust Buster Classic inside the Indoor Athletic Facility in Topeka, Kansas on January 21, 2023.
In his first meet with the University of Regina’s track & field team, Usheoritse Itsekiri has won the 60-metre dash event at the 2023 Golden Bear Meet in Edmonton in a time that ranks second on the school’s all-time performance list.
Itsekiri ran 6.76 seconds in the preliminaries, 6.83 seconds in the semifinals, then put up a time of 6.70 seconds in the final to claim first place by just over a tenth of a second. Itsekiri’s winning time at the 2023 Golden Bear Meet was just three one-hundredths of a second shy of Tevaughn Campbell’s school record of 6.67 seconds, which the current Los Angeles Chargers defensive back set at the 2016 CIS Championships.
Edose Ibadin has set a new national record at the 2023 Alachua County Invitational in Florida running a new personal best of 2:20.34 to finish second in the men’s 1000 meters event.
He broke the Nigerian national record by over two seconds.
Alaba Akintola has emerged winner of the 60 meters race event at the 2023 UNM Team Open in New Mexico with a time of 6.61 seconds.

The Nigeria sprinter and student of Middle Tennessee State University Alaba Akintola on January 17, 2023 broke the 20-year 60 meters school record when he ran a time of 6.59 seconds at the 2023 Commodore Challenge.
