Team Nigeria Under-18 Girls Win 2023 International Handball African Championship

Nigeria’s under-18 girls’ handball team have emerged winners of the 2023 International Handball African championship title in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The team defeated Guinea 33-18 to clinch the title.

The girls also qualified for the International Handball Federation Trophy Intercontinental phase.

Nigeria will now represent Africa in the intercontinental phase of the Handball championship.

 

Four Nigerian Projects Win 2023 Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation AI Solutions Award

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has awarded four projects from Nigeria as winners of its 2023 artificial intelligence (AI) solutions award.

The four projects are part of a group of nearly 50 grant recipients who are developing global health and development solutions for their communities using AI-enabled large language models (LLMs).
