Chelochi Onyemelukwe-Onoubia Wins Best Fiction Writer Award At 2019 Sharjah International Book Fair

41-year-old Chelochi Onyemelukwe-Onoubia, has won the award for best fiction writer at the Sharjah International Book Fair, in the United Arab Emirates.

Mrs. Chelochi Onyemelukwe-Onoubia, whose debut work, ‘Son of the House’, won in the best fiction category, was honoured by the Ruler of Sharjah, Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, on the 30th of October 2019 at the opening ceremony of the Sharjah International Book Fair, United Arab Emirate (UAE).

Toluwani Deborah, has emerged the overall best graduating student with a First Class Honours from the Department of Mathematics at the 35th convocation ceremony of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN).

Toluwani Deborah, who was part of the graduation class of 2019, finished with a cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.98.

Chikezie Omeje and Munyaradzi Makoni have emerged winners of the 2019 African Academy Of Sciences Science Journalism Awards.

Chikezie Omeje, head of newsroom, senior investigative and data reporter of the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR), and Zimbabwean reporter Munyaradzi Makoni received a cash prize award of $3,000 each in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia for their reports in science journalism.

The award was presented during the Grand Challenges Annual meeting in Addis- Ababa, a meeting that brings scientists and policy makers together, creating solutions to global health problems.
